School and class uniform size chart: kids and adults (Vietnam)
A class shirt or school uniform order usually covers every body size: primary pupils, secondary and high-school students, university students, plus parents and teachers wearing the same shirt on event days. This chart covers uniform T-shirts and polos, with kids' sizes named by height and adult sizes S-3XL. You pick by height, then check weight, so sizes can be settled without guessing. Children grow a few centimetres every year and heights within one class often differ by 15-20 cm, so the kids' section adds typical sizes by grade.

Pick a size in 3 steps
- Measure the wearer's height and pick the size whose height range contains it.
- Check weight: if it is above that size's weight range, go up one size.
- Between two sizes, take the larger one, especially for children, who grow fast and wear a uniform for the whole school year.
Garments are measured flat, with a tolerance of ±2 cm. Chest width is measured armpit to armpit with the shirt lying flat; length runs from the highest point of the shoulder next to the collar down to the hem. To be sure, measure a shirt that fits well now and compare.
Kids' sizes, primary school (grades 1-5)
Straight unisex fit for boys and girls. The size name is the tallest height it fits, in cm, so all you need is your child's height.
| Size | Height (cm) | Weight (kg) | Chest width (cm) | Length (cm) | Usually |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 110 | up to 110 | 16-18 | 36.5 | 48 | Grade 1 |
| 115 | 111-115 | 18-20 | 38 | 50 | Grade 1 |
| 120 | 116-120 | 21-24 | 39.5 | 52 | Grades 1-2 |

| 140 | 131-140 | 35-40 | 44 | 58 | Grades 4-5 |
Adult sizes S-3XL (secondary, high school, university, parents, teachers)
Straight fit for men and for women who prefer a relaxed fit: pupils from about grade 6, high-school and university students, parents and teachers. S has the same chest width as 140 but is 2 cm longer, which suits pupils in grades 5-6 who are already over 140 cm.

Fitted women's cut (girls, female students, mothers, teachers)
The women's cut is shaped at the waist and 3-8 cm shorter than the straight cut. It is for women from 141 cm (size S up) and is not available in kids' sizes. If the class wants a uniform look in photos, all women can wear the straight cut instead.

Tips for sizing a whole class
- Ask for measurements, not sizes: collect height and weight on a paper slip or online form. "What size does your child wear" means something different for every brand.
- Ordering at the start of the year? Size up: any pupil between two sizes should take the larger one.
- Order 1-2 spares in the class's most common size for new pupils or exchanges.
- One person collects: the form teacher or the parents' committee gathers the list and sends it once, so nobody is missed.
This chart applies to class shirts and school uniforms, including the adult sizes for university students, parents and teachers in the same order. Company uniforms use Startee's standard uniform size chart.
