What Fabric Should a Running Shirt Be?
Uniforms for a running race, a running club, or a corporate sports day need very different fabric from an everyday t-shirt — wicking and breathability matter more than looks alone.
What fabric to choose for a running shirt
Cool-touch or poly fabric has a smooth surface, is breathable, wicks sweat well and dries faster than cotton — suited to high-intensity activity with heavy sweating. See roll fabric sourcing for more.
The right printing method
Poly/cool-touch fabric suits heat transfer (sublimation) printing better than DTG — accurate, durable color on synthetic surfaces. Race numbers and athlete names usually use heat-transfer vinyl, cut cleanly into the shape of numbers and letters. See heat transfer printing and heat-transfer vinyl.
What Startee doesn’t take on
Startee makes garment uniforms for running races, running clubs and corporate sports days, but does not print race BIB numbers or produce medals/full race kits — that’s outside Startee’s garment manufacturing capability.
